It's time for a little more self-love in our lives
Summer is such an easy time to slip away from routine, lose healthy habits, and not focus on the self-care that we absolutely need to show up as our best self everyday.
Life gets busy, especially in the summer! But that doesn't mean you have to completely fall off your healthy habits train and say sayonara to your self-care routine.
Call it selfish, but if you don't fill up your cup, you can't truly show up for others. By neglecting self-care, that is selfish, my love. Give yourself the nourishment your soul craves, your mind needs, and your body deserves.
I decided to create a 4 Week Summer Self-Care Challenge, geared towards self-care, self-love, and nourishing your body, soul + mind.
But WHY focus on Self-Care?
I usually focus on gut health and digestion, but this time I'm doing things a little differently.
You can't heal a body you hate.
When you breathe more self-care into your life, you show up differently.
You have more energy to do the things you love, and show up for the people around you.
You have more confidence and can be more authentic, attracting more of what you desire into your life.
You create more consciousness + awareness, and begin to shed negative thought patterns as you begin to live more in the present.
Your stress levels decrease + that nagging anxiety starts to dissipate as you begin to incorporate more healthy activities into your life.
Your digestion works better as you learn how to properly nourish yourself by saying yes to foods that make you feel good, and no to things that don't serve you.
You fall back in love with yourself, and learn to create long-term habits of adding self-care into your daily routine every day, so you can show up as your best self, every single day.
What does self-care look like?
Self-care is not just bubble baths + a nice big glass of red wine.
Self-care can look a lot differently to everyone.
It can be going to bed early, or sleeping in.
It can be pampering yourself with a facemask or pedicure, or going for a long bike ride around town.
It can be cancelling previous plans to sit home under a blanket and binge watch TV or read your favourite book.
It can be eating a nourishing meal, or having an ice cream on the boardwalk with your family, or both!
It can be choosing a refreshing kombucha over a cocktail because you want a good night's sleep.
It can be allowing yourself to try new things like meditation or therapy, putting yourself out of your comfort zone and growing as a human.
But most importantly, self-care is focusing on the self, allowing yourself to take what you need, and giving away what you don't.
How it Works
During the challenge we will be focusing on 5 things:
Nourishment: Meal plan with guidelines
Mindfulness: 1 activity a day
Movement: 30 mins per day
Hydration: 3 L per day
Sleep: 6.5 hours +
If you hit these everyday, you get a point. You get one bonus point per week for a bonus act of self-care. This really is your definition of self-care. Whether it be a bubble bath or a facemask, getting a babysitter to go have a date night, or baking cookies etc, this is where you begin to take notice of the extra little things you are doing for yourself.
Grand total of 144 Points for the Challenge (you will get a habit tracker to keep track of everything!)

Self-Care Supplement Guide
There are a few supplements I recommend to feel optimal, which is important as you engage on this month of self-care. Basic vitamins and nutrients to ensure you have lots of energy, sleep well, and support stress.

Challenge includes a self-care habit tracker to keep track of your daily points to go towards the grand prize, along with a community of self-care soul givers to keep each other motivated and accountable.
